The Story Behind PoopLogBot

Just before my 33rd birthday, during a trip to Kazakhstan, I had a rough experience—severe diarrhea. Back home, my doctor diagnosed me with a thrombosed hemorrhoid, which required minor surgery. Thankfully, I recovered fully, but the whole ordeal sparked my curiosity about gut health.

Determined to learn more, I dove into books and YouTube videos about digestion, probiotics, and overall well-being. Eventually, I decided to experiment with probiotics, trying a few different options. To my surprise, I noticed a real improvement in my stool quality.

That’s when I realized I needed a simple tool to track my stool patterns over time and see how probiotics—or other factors—affected my digestive health. So, I built PoopLogBot: a lightweight tracker to log my visits and spot trends.

Right now, PoopLogBot is still a work in progress. I’m constantly adding new features to make it more insightful and fun to use.

Take a look at the current version of the dashboard to see how it tracks your patterns, visualizes trends, and helps you understand your digestive behavior.
